Celebrating Christmas with ASWWU Social
By Annaliese Grellmann
Pool tables were wrapped, garlands were hung, and a tree was decorated in the SAC on the evening of Dec. 2 for ASWWU social’s Christmas party. Students were greeted by a table filled with red and green Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, and a raffle ticket for a holiday-themed gift basket.
Lines of folding tables had cookies for students to decorate. The most impressive cookies were the Christmas sweaters intricately decorated with frosting. The photo booth gave friends and roommates the opportunity to take Christmas card-esque photos or pose with Santa and his elves.
In addition to taking photos and eating Christmas cookies, students relaxed on couches and watched people participate in Carol-oke, a Christmas themed karaoke. Individuals, pairs, and friend groups sang along to Christmas favorites like “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree” and “Let It Go.”
‘Tis the season for celebrating. The ASWWU Social Christmas Party gave students the opportunity to take a break from the monotony of school and instead embrace all the festivity the holiday season has to offer.
